Thank You All

Statement

Date: Nov. 5, 2014

My Dear Friends,

It was not a good night. Many of you who shared my idealism and optimism received the same body blow as I did. I am grateful for your faith in me. I wish our slingshot could have prevailed.

I have no regrets except that I wish I had only spent my own money and effort and not yours. But we did the right thing: we gave the voters a choice. And we gave ourselves a chance. But hoping to be the exception that proved the rule, we only proved the rule. Hoping to find a place to change the system, we discovered that the system, like a huge ship, is difficult to turn.

So what happened? Here is my analysis. Elections are decided by the un-decideds, who are swayed by peripherals: name recognition, (despite a weak anti-incumbent feeling that apparently doesn't transfer to home) and money. We were outspent 25 to 1.

I thank all of you who believed in me and gave so much of your time, effort and dollars to our cause. The cause does continue and it is more urgent every day. Don't give up. We have the right issues, we just need to sell them more convincingly to more people, and that is something we can do each day. Being a candidate helps that process, but it is only one of many ways to create a country where the right people can easily get elected for the right reasons.

Gratefully,

Will Bronson

PS Once I catch my breath, I will be in touch with many of you personally.
